Edward Hendrick, Chairman
Edward was awarded the IIA Innovation Award in 2010 and was listed as one of the Top 40 Entrepreneurs under 40 in Business Plus magazine in 2011. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Agribusiness & Rural Development. He also graduated from the SEEPP Programme in 2008 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Development.
Fergal O’Byrne
Fergal O’Byrne is an experienced internet industry entrepreneur who founded Interactive Return in 1998. In 2004 he was awarded the Microsoft Internet Marketer of the Year Award. His most recent role was as CEO of the Irish Internet Association. He has published four books including; 10 Online Marketing and Search Engine Essentials and 10 Technologies Every Executive Should Know. Fergal holds an Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering from DIT, Kevin Street, Dublin. He has sat on the Board of Directors of IGOpeople.com, WINC, and CCD Ltd. He currently Chair of the Project Advisory Group for Fáilte Ireland's eBusiness Support Initiative. Recently he was appointed to the Board of the Irish Domain Registry (IEDR.ie).
Chris Horan
Chris has worked as a Senior Developer, Systems Architect, Project Manager and Technical Sales Consultant in the software industry for over 10 years.He has significant architectural experience in designing and delivering large scale integrated systems and in the design, development and deployment of Internet based n-Tier and Client/Server systems in a number of industry sectors most notably financial and telecoms. Chris has worked on projects for KPN telecom and KPN Research, Logica, EDS (UK), Fidelity, Rabobank, ORBISM, BearingPoint, and Cape Technologies. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics and Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and also graduated from the South East Enterprise Platform Programme in 2008 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Development.
Luke Falvey
Luke joined the Board of Sonru in January 2011. Luke is founder and Managing Director of Insight Strategy, a Strategic Business Development Advisory firm that assists companies in validating their Strategy and Business Development agenda and getting it into action. Luke also advises on and facilitates market entry into Asian countries. He has 25 years international leadership experience working with some of the world’s leading branded companies, including Diageo & Gallaher. He has significant M&A and broader international general management experience spanning Europe, Asia Pacific and the Caribbean. Luke is based in Singapore and is a Director of Berkley Recruitment Group Asia and InTime Media. He is a fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Certified Master Coach from the Behavioral Coaching Institute and a member of the International Coaching Council.
Pat Sweeney
Pat has over twenty years leadership experience at senior managment/director level as a Human Resources business partner including restructuring and multicultural projects relating to international mergers and acquisitions across the UK, Europe, Canada, United States, Jamaica, Australia and more recently in Russia and the Ukraine. Pat has extensive experience of working in a multinational environment with Alcan (now Rio Tinto), Billiton (now BHP Billiton), Atlantic Richfield, Glencore International and UC Rusal.
Pat's academic accolades include an Honours Degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick, a MSc in Education from the University of Sheffield, a qualification from the Creativity and Innovation Programme at John E. Anderson Business School at UCLA and is a chartered member of the CIPD. Pat is a former winner of the CIPD/Sunday Business Post Award in Ireland for HR Management of the Year. Pat joined the Board of Sonru in January 2011 and is also a Non Executive Director at InTime Media.
