Sonru's Fergal O'Byrne (former CEO of the Irish Internet Association) returned to the IIA recently where he joining an impressive line-up of speakers at the IIA's 2012 conference entitled "BUILDING BRICS" in the Aviva. Fergal spoke about Sonru's international growth and localizing the Sonru application to multiple languages.

We've been invited to present a few modules on video interviewing/video selection on some of the Human Capital Institute's courses over the past year or so. Well their schedule of upcoming courses in now online. The Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Certification courses are about to start and can be completed ONLINE and ON-SITE in 20 major metro areas.

Sonru was featured in Gartner's Market Guide for E-Recruitment Solutions (Published: 9 February 2012) under the heading  "Improving Interviewing and Assessment." The report discussed how unstructured interviews have proven themselves to be poor indicators of actual performance and then referred to the growth of video interviewing tools (such as Sonru) which can be integrated with ATS solutions such as Taleo.

Charles Brittain, Recruitment Manager at Unatrac recently started a discussion on the Excellence in Recruitment group on LinkedIn asking 'Has anybody used Sonru's online automated video interview solution?' and  addressed it to Sonru users. We are on the road again, well not just yet. We have been invited to speak at the Mobile & Video in Recruitment Conference in London on November 17th 2011.  The conference, now in its second year, has become something of a flagship event for our industry. So come along and see the Sonru Roadshow in action, CEO Fergal and Founder Ed give a really good show and sometimes we even give away goodies.

It was a busy June 1st for Sonru founder Ed Hendrick as he attended a special ceremony at Aras an Uachtarain hosted by President Mary McAleese. The event organised by cross-border body InterTradeIreland identified Sonru as one of sixty-five Business Ambassadors from across Ireland.

Enniscorthy 13 March, 2011. Sonru today launched two short animations to explain the automated video interviewing process. The animations, which were produced by Igloo Animations, consist of an 'Overview of automated video interviewing' and a more specific 'How does it work?' and are targeted at HR directors, recruiters and hiring managers.

May was a busy month with respect to international expansion as Sonru announced Reseller partnerships with Workshift Systems Corporation in Ottawa, Canada and Apple Search & Selection in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2010 was a busy year for Sonru and the focus for 2011 is all about growth and internationalisation. To this end, we're formally entering the UK market on Monday via a Reseller whom we'll announce at our launch at the HR Directors Business Summit 2011 in Birmingham.
