We're on the road again spreading the video interviewing love, this time back in London at the CIPD's Recruitment Exhibition at the Olympia Conference & Exhibition Centre. We're also delighted to have been asked to give a presentation on Day 2 entitled 'Automating the Interview Process Using Online Video'. Since our presentation falls on June 16th, we've every confidence it will be blooming brilliant.

It was a busy June 1st for Sonru founder Ed Hendrick as he attended a special ceremony at Aras an Uachtarain hosted by President Mary McAleese. The event organised by cross-border body InterTradeIreland identified Sonru as one of sixty-five Business Ambassadors from across Ireland.

Sonru founder Edward Hendrick was invited to a Trade dinner at the Embassy of Ireland in London hosted by Ambassador McDonagh. The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton also attended the event as part of his one-day trade mission to help rebuild Ireland’s reputation abroad. The Minister met Irish companies supported by government to discuss the challenges they face in operating in the British market.

WIT is an institution dear to our hearts here in Sonru as it was on their flagship SEEPP programme where our award winning automated video interviewing tool first came to life way back when in 2007. WIT's Graduate Business School with its diverse community of students, taught by experienced faculty and professors are leading the way in academic and business excellence. When they invited us to address their most recent cohort of postgraduate students, we simply had to say YES.

So another internet business launches from the South East of Ireland, SCURRI.COM based in Wexford is expecting to create over 10 new jobs within 3 years. The service promises to take the hassle out of arranging the shipping of larger goods purchased on the internet or through auction sites. Shoppers often find bargains online but more often than not the difficultly in finding reliable and  affordable shipping for large items can counteract any initial savings.
 

To mark National Enterprise Week, Bank of Ireland are hosting a number of events and inviting local businesses to promote their businesses throughout their branch network. Sonru's CEO Fergal O'Byrne will be joining Sean Gallagher in an Enterprise Evening in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow on Monday next (22d) to support local business and to support recovery.

Team Sonru were in Denmark last week meeting clients, drumming up business and generally spreading the love and it was there in Copenhagen that CEO Fergal O'Byrne met President Mary McAleese.

Sonru had a very busy day yesterday at the Wexford Business Exchange Expo in Whites Hotel. Joy and Maiken manned the stand and wowed passersby with Sonru's award winning Automated Video Interview tool not forgetting the homemade shortbread and ginger shap cookies.

We're on the road again. Wexford Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Wexford County Enterprise Board and the Irish Times are running, what they promise could be our most productive day this year, their first ever Wexford Business Exchange Expo on September 22nd 2010.
