April 30th 2013.  Sonru, a global leader in the field of video interviews and selection, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with  talent acquisition platform Plugin Recruiter- an agile response to a changing recruitment landscape.

Sonru hosted an event in London on Tuesday 26 March 2013 with newly signed strategic partner CAPP in Enterprise Ireland's Leinster Boardroom on Shaftesbury Avenue. 

The recruiting world is changing rapidly. Whereas sourcing and hiring was once under the exclusive, almost despotic, purview of the HR department–social channels have democratised the entire process. Everyone now has a voice. But determining which voices should be heeded, and which forums garner the most appropriate candidates for the job, is becoming more difficult as recruiters are overwhelmed with options.

Andrea Clarkson, Resourcing Team Leader UK & Ireland at Telefonica spoke as part of the Graduate Assessment & Selection strand at the National Employment Summit 2013. Andrea was joined by Joyce Farrell, HR Manager of ESB International and Hillary Collins, Head of HR of United Drug.

Earlier this year in May, we wrote a blog about a reception hosted by the US-Ireland Alliance to honor the 2012 class of George J. Mitchell Scholars and that applications were open for the 2013-2014 Mitchell Scholarship which funds a year of postgraduate study in Ireland or Northern Ireland. Last weekend the US-Ireland Alliance selected the 2014 class of George J. Mitchell Scholars and yes Sonru's video selection tool formed an integral part of the application process.
