Enniscorthy, 14 April 2011. Sonru was announced winner of the Innovation and Technology Award at the national gala awards ceremony at the Mansion House in Dublin this evening.

Sonru competed with the winners from the other provinces for the national title having won the Leinster final in January this year. The Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards are in association with the Irish Independent, Enterprise Ireland and InterTradeIreland. The winning companies were judged on a variety of merits including financial performance, company milestones and achievements, future strategy for the business and development of innovative products and services.

Non-executive director, Fiona O'Sullivan, marketing and communications manager, Joy Redmond and inside sales manager, Maiken O'Byrne represented Sonru at the event in the Mansion House in Dublin. Commenting on the company’s success, Fiona O'Sullvan, said: "We are delighted to receive the National title of this prestigious competition. We would like to thank Ulster Bank and the panel of judges for recognizing the potential in Sonru. It's a critical time for Sonru as we manage the transition from indigenous Irish start-up to a high growth international player in the video interviewing space and recognition of this scale assures us that we're heading in the right direction".
