Sonru is pleased to announce that it has closed an investment round bringing its total in funding, prizes and grants to over €1,084,000. A high growth company based in Enniscorthy, Sonru raised equity funding of €662,500 from Enterprise Ireland and a number of private investors. Sonru.com, a HPSU client of Enterprise Ireland, will use the funding to further develop its award winning automated video interview tool and to expand its export markets.

Sonru employs six people in their Headquarters in Enniscorthy and two contractors who work remotely. The company is currently on a recruitment drive.

Commenting on the announcement, Fergal O’ Byrne, CEO of Sonru, said:“this latest funding round is a very significant milestone in the development of Sonru.com, and will facilitate our expansion into the UK, a market we envisage being a key adopter of our technology, providing opportunities for both further product development and increased revenues."

2010 has been something of a golden year for this innovative video technology company having signed a Reseller Agreement with the SaonGroup.com which is now reselling the tool via their job boards in Ireland (Irishjobs.ie, Jobs.ie), Northern Ireland (NIJobs.com), the U.K. (myjobgroup.co.uk) and most recently in India (myJobsinPune.com). Sonru.com have also won a spate of awards including being listed as one of the Top 50 Technology companies in the World in 2010.
