Sonru’s hectic 2018 event calendar closed on a high by co-hosting with Oracle a ‘Recruiting Excellence Made Simple’ workshop in Dublin, Ireland. The event saw the coming together of Sonru clients and friends to experience the candidate journey from the application stage right through to on-boarding.
Kindly hosted by BDO Ireland in their beautiful 5th-floor meeting space replete with city views, the morning included a jam-packed agenda of product demonstrations from both Oracle and Sonru along with two lively Q&A sessions with Sonru clients. Here are some of our highlights:
Marie O’Sullivan, Sonru’s Marketing Manager, pieced together the presentations and talks that weaved together the journey of Sara Evans, a fictitious candidate.
John David from Oracle showed Sara’s journey from finding and applying for her ideal job using Oracle HCM Cloud; the audience was “blown away” by the platform’s capabilities and usability. Then, Sonru’s Brian Morris demonstrated how Sara might complete an asynchronous video interview while Oracle’s Tanya Delaney concluded with a presentation on how the platform could be used to onboard Sara both at home before she started the new job and her first days on site.
The demonstrations were juxtaposed by two Q&A sessions moderated by Joy Redmond, Sonru’s Head of Research, who interviewed two clients — Niamh Dowling from BDO and Kim O’Kelly from Concern Worldwide.
The feedback was one of a very informative, informal and social meet-up of HR and recruitment professionals in Dublin. Paula Voiseux from Glenveagh Properties PLC was the lucky winner of an iPad. Some photos of the morning can be seen below.
Huge thanks from all the Sonru Team to our speakers and everyone who joined us on the morning.
