St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner once more! Among the many things synonymous with the Irish culture and the festive day are the infamous pot of gold and the celebrations held around the globe. It’s fitting that at Sonru, we think that Video Interviewing and St. Patrick’s Day are alike for these two reasons.
A Pot of Gold for Recruiters & Candidates
Over the years, we’ve witnessed Video Interviewing become an integral stage of the recruitment process for recruiters and candidates alike.
It’s no secret that the most suitable candidates are more attainable at a faster pace using Video Interviewing, and recruiters find it easier to navigate towards the perfect candidate (or pot of gold) at the end of the recruitment rainbow using the technology. Recruiters agree, with 75% of recruiters surveyed stating that better candidate selection is one of the key benefits of Video Interviewing.
On the candidate side, Video Interviewing is a largely flexible and sought after solution. This is reflected in the 94% of candidates surveyed who are willing to complete a Video Interview in the future. With that in mind, it seems that Video Interviewing can be viewed as a lucky charm all round.
With St. Patrick’s Day fast-approaching, it’s not only an opportune time to draw similarities between the festive day and Video Interviewing, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to ask yourself how many recruiters will be able to enjoy the parades and events around the world and still be sure that their recruitment is ticking away in the background. Many candidates will be completing their asynchronous Video Interview on the day, leaving recruiters with less stress when the celebrations with family and friends have ended and they return to the office. If that’s not food for thought and a cause for recruitment celebration this St. Patrick’s Day, we don’t know what is.
Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh!
