Sales Administrator
Marketing Communications Intern

Sales Adminstraor - The Role
Sonru wishes to hire a full-time Sales Administrator to deal with the growing volume of business being generated by the company.

The role will be based in the Sonru’s Enniscorthy office.

The appointee will have the ability to understand and empathise with the dynamics of a small, high growth potential, support-focused organisation.

The core responsibility of the Sales Administrator is to support the Sales and Marketing Team in all areas of their delivery. A professional attitude and understanding of commercial customer requirements is a must.

The role is also to support the Management and Staff in the implementation of the agreed strategy and objectives of the company.

The person must be a self-starter and very internet savvy.

Main responsibilities

•    Lead generation (cold and warm campaigns) through telesales, email and other communication methods
•    Pipeline building and management and contribute ideas to marketing/sales campaigns
•    Sales team support; setting up accounts, organise meetings; customise presentations
•    Liaise with main account owner on follow up actions, activation of trial, basic tech support, supply of marketing collateral
•    Ability to deliver remote webinars to a wide range of local and overseas client leads
•    Ability to deliver client presentations
•    Post Sales Support; Will become first point of contact for all post sales actions to get client up and running / enjoying our product, add client to all Company Communications
•    Supports the sales team  with logistics; booking hotels, scheduling calendars, meetings, booking flights
•    Representing company at Trade Shows or other events as required
•    Support and administer online marketing campaigns with the marketing dept.

Employee Qualifications and Requirements

•    Must have a qualification to a minimum Diploma Level
•    Must have good communications skills, written and oral
•    Needs to be self motivated and target oriented
•    Excellent written and spoken English
•    Excellent  understanding of technology and, in particular, internet skills
•    Able to travel on behalf of the company, as required

Employee Remuneration

Remuneration is based on the achievement of the key job deliverables.

Basic Pay:

Marketing Communications Intern - The Role

Sonru has an opening for a marketing communications intern to deal with the growing demands on the marketing department as the company expands internationally. The role will be based in Sonru’s Enniscorthy office.
The appointee will have the ability to understand and empathise with the dynamics of a small, high growth potential, support-focused organisation.
The core responsibility of the marketing communications intern is to support the marketing department in all areas of its delivery. 
A professional attitude and excellent communication skills are a must. The person must be a self-starter and very Internet savvy.

Main responsibilities

  • PR: Assist the marketing manager in the dissemination of press releases via press wires and social networks including follow-up campaigns to maximize Sonru's media exposure.
  • Trade shows and conferences: Assist in their planning and preparation including relevant pre and post marketing.
  • Sonru Knowledge Hub: Assist the marketing manager in the delivery of case studies, white papers and client usage research and subsequent sharing of research insights among prospective clients, sales staff and resellers.
  • Social media: Monitor and contribute to relevant ‘conversations’ in variety of online media including blogs, online communities, LinkedIn, Twitter and FaceBook. Maintain Sonru profiles on variety of social media networks and communities.
  • Online Content / SEO: Assist the marketing manager in the online content and SEO strategy.
  • Targeting: Assist in the planning and execution of lead generation campaigns via social networks, advertising, direct mail and email.
  • Support sales function: Liaise with both the Sonru sales team and growing network of international resellers on follow up actions such as marketing messages and the supply of marketing collateral.

Employee Qualifications and Requirements


  • Must have a qualification to a minimum Diploma Level
  • Competent in a range of packages, MS Office / Adobe CS (ideally)
  • Excellent communications skills, written and oral, Excellent English.

  • Needs to be self-motivated and target oriented

  • Excellent understanding of technology and, in particular, Internet skills


Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications manager, this internship provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to gain experience in international marketing of a high potential indigenous Irish technology company.
